This handy dandy little drink right here folks will be your best friend to see you through the cold months ahead and for any extra healing your body needs. If you know me well you know that I LOVE coffee! I drink coffee just about everyday and I LOVE lattes! As much as I love coffee I have traded my morning coffee routine this time for this nourishing and healing turmeric honey latte friend! This latte is super easy to make in under 10 minutes and the flavor is simply delicious with a slight sweet and spicy flair.
Tumeric is not new on the wellness scene, in fact it has been used for centuries for wellness and healing remedies in ancient Chinese and Indian cultures. I love that Tumeric is a simple root but has so many nourishing and healing properties! Studies have shown that tumeric may help fight infection, reduce inflammation, help digestion issues, fight cancer, and help in skin problems. Tumeric is extremely high in antioxidants along with antibacterial properties making this simple, little root a healing powerhouse! Tumeric is definitely at the tip top of my list to keep on hand as a healthy pantry staple! I use the powder form of tumeric most but fresh turmeric root is always great to keep on hand too! The honey included in this recipe just gives this latte an extra antibacterial healing punch and is going to give it a slight, natural sweetness. So lets get to this delicious, warm drink and show you how to make your next Tumeric Honey Latte! Enjoy!
Tumeric Honey Latte
8-10 ounces Unsweetened or homemade almond, coconut, cashew milk or organic skim milk
1/2 tsp Tumeris Powder
1 tsp Local honey
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
How to:
In a sauce pan over medium heat, add the milk desired , turmeric, honey, and cinnamon. As the latte heats whisk continually until the cinnamon is blended and the milk starts to create a frothy look. Once heated and blended remove from heat, pour in your favorite mug and enjoy! I like to top the latte with bee pollen that simply will melt in the warm drink but this is totally optional. I suggest this healing latte anytime but it is especially helpful and healing to drink when you feel under the weather as well. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do! Cheers to feeling good!
