Hello Beautiful friends and welcome back to the blog! OK……so with the hot, hot, hot August weather nothing beats a good, cool breakfast or lunch or really anytime smoothie bowl! The huge, juicy black berries have been looking super delish lately so I thought I would throw together a simple blackberry smoothie bowl and share! Today I want to share this super nutritious, tasty bowl that is so quick to throw together, full of antioxidant power, potassium, protein, calcium, fiber, and really filling to leave those bellies uber happy! All you need are 5 simple ingredients, a high powered blender ( I used the Vitamix), a spoon, and enjoy this cell food!!! This smoothie bowl is a great way to stay cool in the late summer heat yet nourish your body whole! Here ya go! enjoy!
Recipe:
Blackberry Banana Smoothie Bowl:
1 frozen banana- chunked
1 cup fresh blackberries ( I used organic)
1/2 cup Siggi’s Blueberry Icelandic Yogurt (Can substitute Coconut yogurt)
1/4 cup water
Handful of ice
Toppings ( Optional) Almond butter, unsweetened coconut chips, extra blackberries/blackberries
Combine all ingredients in high powered blender, blend until smooth consistency, if too soupy, add extra ice to thicken until blended to desired consistency. Pour mix in bowl, top with drizzled almond butter, unsweetened coconut chips and extra blackberries/bananas, grab a spoon and enjoy!!!
